Dear Valley ski resort is located in the Wasatch Range, located 36 miles (58 km) east of Salt Lake City. People have been skiing there in the 1930's, so it's got a unique history. Today, Deer Valley has 113 ski runs of which 27 per cent are for beginners, 41 per cent for average skiers, and 32 per cent for experienced skiers.The Big 3 Ski Area With 24 lifts, its capacity (46, 500 skiers/hour) doubles the capacities of neighbouring resorts. Moreover, since 2006 the resort has limited the sales of tickets to 6, 500 per day, so line ups are fairly bearable. This resort was home to several alpine events during the 2002 Olympic Games in Utah (freestyle and slalom) and regularly hosts a FIS world cup competition.
