About the Brighton Ski Resort in Utah

The snowy winter conditions inspired Will Brighton to design crude pairs of skis so that he and his family could move about in the area.

Little did he know that the writing was on the snow. Years later, in 1936, the Wasatch Mountain Club decided to build the first rope tow at Brighton. The area officially became a ski resort in 1955. It was owned by a man named Zane Doyle. Today, his descendants continue to operate Brighton. It is consistently voted as the best value resort in Utah.
